# audio/stream-open Open a raw PCM push stream for continuous audio (the video-soundtrack path). Samples are resampled and mixed into the shared device spec (S16, 44.1 kHz stereo). ## Syntax

[audio/stream-open ?$opts]

## Parameters - `:freq` — source sample rate, 4000–384000 (optional, default 44100) - `:channels` — 1–8 (optional, default 2) - `:format` — `:s16` (default), `:f32`, or `:u8`; unknown keywords fall back to `:s16` ## Examples

set s [audio/stream-open %{ :freq 48000 :channels 2 :format :s16 }]
[audio/stream-push $s $chunk]

## Returns Stream id (number; shares the voice id counter). `%Err{:message}` when freq/channels are out of range, no SDL host is compiled in, the device is unavailable, or stream creation/binding fails.
