# crypto/sha256
Compute the SHA-256 hash of the input. Returns the digest as a lowercase
hex string (64 chars).
## Syntax
[crypto/sha256 $data]
## Parameters
- `$data` — String (bytes) to hash
## Examples
[crypto/sha256 "hello"] # 2cf24dba5fb0a30e26e83b2ac5b9e29e1b161e5c1fa7425e73043362938b9824 [crypto/sha256 $payload]
## Returns
64-character lowercase hex string.
