# dbus/unsubscribe
Remove a signal subscription previously registered with `dbus/subscribe` and
send `RemoveMatch` to the daemon.
## Syntax
[dbus/unsubscribe $conn "type='signal',interface='org.example.X'"]
## Parameters
- `$conn` — connection from `dbus/connect`
- `$rule` — the exact match rule string used to subscribe (string)
A rule that is not currently subscribed is a no-op (no `RemoveMatch` is
sent). The closure is unpinned when its subscription is removed.
## Examples
[dbus/unsubscribe $conn "type='signal',interface='org.deft.Test',member='Ping'"]
## Returns
`nil`, or `%Err{:message}` on a bad connection, non-string rule, or a
failed `RemoveMatch`.
