# fs/local-dir
Conventional path `.deft/local/<sub>`, creating it (and parents) if needed. Idempotent.
## Syntax
[fs/local-dir $sub]
## Parameters
- `$sub` — sub-directory under `.deft/local`
## Examples
[fs/local-dir "editor"] # .deft/local/editor (created if missing) set snap [fs/local-dir "snapshots"] [fs/write [fs/join $snap "buf0"] $contents]
## Returns
String path to the (now-existing) directory.
