# html/close Explicitly release a `%HtmlDocument` handle from `html/open`. ## Syntax

[html/close $doc]

## Parameters - `$doc` — a `%HtmlDocument` handle ## Examples

set d [html/open $body]
# ... repeated html/select / html/text queries ...
[html/close $d]     # => true

## Returns `true`. Closing is idempotent — a second `html/close` on the same handle returns `true` without effect. The GC finalizer performs the same teardown when the handle becomes unreachable, so explicit closing is optional (useful to free a large document promptly). A non-handle argument returns `%Err`. ## See Also `html/open`
