# image/flip
Mirror an `Image` or a `PixelBuffer` vertically (about the x-axis): the top
row becomes the bottom row. Returns a new value of the same type.
## Syntax
[image/flip $v]
## Parameters
- `$v` — an `Image` or `PixelBuffer` value
## Examples
set img [image/open "test/fixtures/images/test.png"] [image/dims [image/flip $img]] # → %{ :w 8 :h 6 } (unchanged) [image/flip [image/flip $img]] # pixel-identical to $img set buf [image/load "test/fixtures/images/test.png"] [image/dims [image/flip $buf]] # → %{ :w 8 :h 6 }
## Returns
A new `Image`/`PixelBuffer` with identical dimensions and pixel format; the
source is unchanged. `nil` when the argument is neither an `Image` nor a
`PixelBuffer`.
