# keymap/unset Remove a binding entirely, making the chord dead in that app/mode. Publishes a change event with `:value nil`. Returns `true` if the binding was present. ## Syntax
[keymap/unset "app" "mode" "chord"]
## Parameters - `app` — app name (string or keyword) - `mode` — mode name (string or keyword) - `chord` — canonical chord string (string or keyword) ## Examples
[keymap/unset "editor" "default" "f6"] # → true
[keymap/unset "editor" "default" "f6"] # → false — already removed
## Returns Boolean — `true` if a binding existed, `false` otherwise. `%Err{:message}` when an argument is missing/not a string or keyword, or the composite key is too long. Subscribers on `"keymap"` receive `%{ :app :mode :chord :value nil :old }`. ## See Also `keymap/set`, `keymap/reset`, `keymap/save-overrides`
