# pkg/set-registry
Set the package registry URL. Pass `nil` to reset to local `virt-pkg`.
## Syntax
[pkg/set-registry $url]
## Parameters
- `$url` — registry URL string (e.g. `https://packages.deft-lang.org`), or `nil` to reset
## Examples
[pkg/set-registry "https://packages.deft-lang.org"] [pkg/set-registry nil] # back to local virt-pkg
## Returns
`true`, or `%Err{}` on a bad argument.
