# scene/add
Add a free-floating node to the workspace world layer. World-layer nodes
live above the panel tree and are anchored to absolute screen coordinates.
They are GL-only; ANSI builds ignore the call (returns 0).
## Syntax
[scene/add :rect|:line|:circle|:image :at @{x y} :size @{w h} :color "#hex" :width n :filled true|false :z n :opacity n :tag "name" :to @{x y} # for :line — second endpoint :texture id] # for :image — GL texture id
The first argument is a shape keyword. The remaining arguments are keyword/value
pairs in any order.
## Returns
A positive node id on success, `0` if the world layer is full or the call ran
without a TUI (`deft` CLI / ANSI).
## Example
[scene/add :circle :at @{500 200} :size @{60 60} :color "#ff5555" :filled true] [scene/add :rect :at @{480 180} :size @{260 100} :color "#ffaa00" :filled false :z 1] [scene/add :line :at @{480 320} :to @{740 320} :color "#888888" :width 2]
