# sqlite/tables-async
Async twin of `sqlite/tables` — list table names off-thread. Returns a Future of strings.
## Syntax
[sqlite/tables-async $db]
## Parameters
- `$db` — database handle
## Examples
def db [sqlite/open ":memory:"] [sqlite/exec $db "CREATE TABLE apples (id INTEGER)"] [sqlite/exec $db "CREATE TABLE bananas (id INTEGER)"] [await [sqlite/tables-async $db]] # → @{apples bananas}
## Returns
Future; `[await ...]` yields a vector of table-name strings, sorted by name and excluding SQLite internals (`sqlite_%`). Worker errors resolve as `%Err{:message}`; submit-time errors (bad handle) return `%Err` directly. The first async call switches the handle to async-only, so later sync `sqlite/*` calls on it return `%Err`. `sqlite/close` drains queued jobs before closing.
