# tui/adopt Reuse a docked (minimized) app instance by rebinding its thread onto the given panel, displacing its current app — used to switch rather than spawn. ## Syntax

[tui/adopt panel-id-or-tag name]

## Parameters - `panel-id-or-tag` — numeric panel ID or string tag (resolved via find-panel) - `name` — the docked app's name ## Examples

[tui/adopt [tui/self] "terminal"]
[tui/adopt 2 "editor"]
