# tui/panel-tag Get the tag string of a panel. Accepts a numeric panel ID or a string tag to identify the panel. ## Syntax

[tui/panel-tag panel-id-or-tag]

## Parameters - `panel-id-or-tag` — numeric panel ID or string tag (resolved via find-panel) ## Returns string or nil ## Example

# Get own panel's tag
[tui/panel-tag [tui/self]]

# Get tag by numeric ID
[tui/panel-tag 2]

# Get tag by tag (returns the same tag if panel exists)
[tui/panel-tag "editor"]
