# array Create a mutable flat array with O(1) indexed access via `aget`/`aset`. A single number argument makes a nil-filled array of that length, NOT a one-element array — `[array 5]` and `[array 5 6]` mean different things. ## Syntax
[array]                 # empty array
[array $n]              # nil-filled array of length n (n a number)
[array $v1 $v2 ...] # array of the given elements
## Parameters - `$n` — (optional) length of a nil-filled array when the only argument is a number. - `$v1`, `$v2`, … — (optional) initial elements. ## Examples
[array]          # → @{}
[array 3]        # → @{nil nil nil}
[array 1 2 3]    # → @{1 2 3}
[array 5 6]      # → @{5 6}  (two elements, not size 5)
## Returns A mutable flat array (`[type $a]` → `"array"`), displayed as `@{...}`. No validation: allocation failure degrades to nil. ## See Also `array-of`, `aget`, `aset`, `type`
