# audio/stop Stop a playing voice or push stream, or everything at once. ## Syntax
[audio/stop id]
[audio/stop :all]
## Parameters - `id` — a voice or stream id returned by `audio/play`, `audio/tone`, `audio/beep`, or `audio/stream-open` - `:all` — destroy every voice and push stream (both namespaces) ## Examples
set v [audio/beep]
[audio/stop $v]
[audio/stop :all] # silence everything
## Returns bool — true when the id was found and destroyed (or `:all` ran); false when the audio device is not open or the id is unknown. `%Err{:message}` when the argument isn't a numeric id or `:all`. Voice and stream ids share one counter, so an id never collides. ## See Also `audio/play`, `audio/tone`, `audio/pause`, `audio/quit`
