# keymap/load Load bindings from a keytable file into the live keymap. User/project files are nested three levels: `%{ :app %{ :mode %{ "chord" cmd } } }`; when the optional app is supplied the file is that app's two-level map: `%{ :mode %{ "chord" cmd } }`. A `nil` leaf means explicitly unbound and removes the binding. ## Syntax
[keymap/load ?path ?app]
## Parameters - `?path` — (optional) keytable path; defaults to the workspace keytable (`.deft/keytable.dft` in a project). - `?app` — (optional) treat the file as a single app's two-level map. ## Examples
[keymap/load] # .deft/keytable.dft (three-level)
[keymap/load "keys.dft" "editor"] # two-level file applied to "editor"
## Returns Boolean — `true` when the file exists and parses to a map, `false` on any read/parse failure. Loads into the live keymap only; the per-package defaults registry used by `keymap/reset` is not touched. ## See Also `keymap/save`, `keymap/scan`, `keymap/reset`
