# tui/dock-back Dock a popped-out panel back into the workspace grid (split off the focused panel). Counterpart of `tui/pop-out`. ## Syntax
[tui/dock-back]
[tui/dock-back ?panel-id-or-tag]
## Parameters - `panel-id-or-tag` — number id or string tag (optional, default: the calling panel) ## Examples
[tui/dock-back] # re-attach this popped window to the grid
## Returns bool — true when the dock request was queued for the host main loop. False when no workspace is attached, pop-out is unavailable on the host (`retra`, `hydra`), the target can't be resolved, or the panel is not currently popped. Docking moves the app thread and identity onto a fresh grid leaf, rebinding the panel id — cached ids behave like a minimize/undock cycle. ## See Also `tui/pop-out`, `tui/split`, `tui/close`
