# tui/dock/update Update the open dock's spec — any subset of `:edge` / `:size` / `:title`, using the same map as `tui/dock/open`. ## Syntax

[tui/dock/update ?spec]

## Parameters - `spec` — map with any of `:edge`, `:size`, `:title`; only the keys present are changed ## Examples

[tui/dock/update %{ :size 40 :title "Outline" }]

## Returns bool — true when the request was queued; false under the same workspace/panel guards as `tui/dock/open`. The update rides the same main-loop path as open, so calling it while the dock is closed opens one (without re-validating `dock-draw`) — poll `tui/dock/state` for the landed geometry. ## See Also `tui/dock/open`, `tui/dock/state`, `tui/dock/float`
