# tui/eval-file Read a file and eval its contents in a target panel's runtime. The target and (optional) source can be specified as numeric panel IDs or string tags (resolved via `tui/find-panel`). If a source panel is given, the result is sent back as an `:eval_result` event to that panel. ## Syntax
[tui/eval-file panel-id-or-tag path [source-panel-or-tag]]
## Parameters - `panel-id-or-tag` — target panel (numeric ID or string tag) - `path` — file path to read and evaluate - `source-panel-or-tag` — (optional) panel to receive the `:eval_result` event ## Returns bool ## Example
# Eval file in panel by numeric ID
[tui/eval-file 2 "/path/to/file.dft"]

# Eval file in panel by tag
[tui/eval-file "shell" "/path/to/script.dft"]

# Eval file with source callback
[tui/eval-file "editor" "/path/to/file.dft" [tui/self]]
