# tui/get-child-value Get the current value of a mounted child widget by child index. ## Syntax

[tui/get-child-value panel-id-or-tag child-idx]

## Parameters - `panel-id-or-tag` — numeric panel ID or string tag (resolved via find-panel) - `child-idx` — zero-based index of the mounted child widget ## Examples

[tui/get-child-value [tui/self] 0]
[tui/get-child-value "editor" 2]
