# tui/set-child-value Replace the value of a mounted child widget directly (no protocol method call). The new value must be a tagged map. ## Syntax

[tui/set-child-value panel-id-or-tag child-idx new-value]

## Parameters - `panel-id-or-tag` — numeric panel ID or string tag (resolved via find-panel) - `child-idx` — zero-based index of the mounted child widget - `new-value` — replacement widget value (tagged map) ## Examples

[tui/set-child-value [tui/self] 0 %TextInput{ :id "msg" :text "fresh" }]
