# tui/set-pie
Set the calling app's pie menu — the radial command menu opened from the workspace pie hub. Mirror of `tui/set-menu`.
## Syntax
[tui/set-pie pie-map]
## Parameters
- `pie-map` — `%{ :title "..." :n %PieItem{...} :e %PieItem{...} ... }`, keyed by direction `:n :ne :e :se :s :sw :w :nw`. Each `%PieItem{}` has `:label`, `:action`, optional `:key` (single-char accelerator), and optional `:pie` (a nested ring of the same shape; `:action` is ignored once `:pie` is set). Omitted directions render as gaps.
## Examples
def get-pie {|| %{ :title "Git" :n %PieItem{ label "Commit" action "menu-commit" key "c" } :e %PieItem{ label "Push" action "menu-push" key "p" } :s %PieItem{ label "Stage" key "s" pie %{ :n %PieItem{ label "File" action "menu-stage" key "f" } } } } } [tui/set-pie [get-pie]]
## Returns
bool — true when the map was parsed and stored on the calling panel; false when no workspace is attached, no argument is given, or the argument isn't a map. Selecting a leaf slice evaluates `[action]` in the app runtime; selecting a ring descends. Limits: 8 slices per ring, 8 rings per tree; ASCII labels truncate at 32 bytes, actions at 64. Accepted on `retra` but not drawn there.
