# Package Manager
`deft/package` is the package-manager TUI app: a Deftlet panel over the
native `pkg/*` primitives, with tabs for Standard, Fund Me, and
Installed packages. It is a nested package inside stdext and mounts
as its own top-level package.
import "deft/package"
The manifest (`tags @{ "app" }`) makes it discoverable by the
launcher; it is not normally imported as a library.

## Underlying API
The panel is a view over the native `pkg/*` functions, usable directly
from scripts:
set installed [pkg/list] # installed + dev packages set avail [pkg/available] # registry catalog set info [pkg/info "deft/editor"] [await [pkg/install "deft/sheet"]] [await [pkg/install "deft/editor" %{ :global true }]] [pkg/uninstall "deft/editor"] [pkg/set-registry "http://127.0.0.1:3001/"]
Installs land in the project's `.deft/packages` by default, or the
user-level packages root (`.deft` under `$DEFT_HOME` / `~/.deft`) when
global install is on. Tarballs are fetched from
`<registry>/packages/<name>/<version>.tar.gz`.
